Take the road from Ponferrada to Molinaseca to arrive at the small village of Compludo. After Molinaseca follow the road to Astorga on the Road to Santiago, go across Riego de Ambrós and before getting to El Acebo take a turn on the right that will show you the way.
The Forge, a National Monument since 1968 and beautifully restored, is placed before the village at the confluence of the streams Miera and Miruelos. To get there follow the path that goes along the bank of the river. In the forge you can still see a section of the mallet that is moved by means of a hydraulic wheel and the furnace with a pump that gets the air according to Venturi principle. It is the only forge in the region that keeps working and shows the people that approach there the reality of the iron and steel activity that was developed during the "Middle Ages".
It is also worth visiting the parish church with a latin cross floor that dates back to the 16th century. Inside the church there is a puritan style retable from the year 1533.
